Is it possible to add Journal entries from an ini file via LogInfo.exe like you can for calculated fields?

This is not possible. What do you want to do? Maybe it is helpful to set a "normal" property via LOGINfo.ini and track the changes by a history query.

The cool thing about the journal is that you can see the history without having to craft a query.
What I am doing is using a vbscript script to create LI4 files to pre-stage entries in the database for stock items before they are joined to the network. I also want to add manual field entries to a scan when doing a physical audit of assets. This allows engineers to update Loginventory without having direct access to the tool.

Ok, I understand. But, the only way will be to set properties during the scan. There is no possibility to set journal entries the way you want it.
