Possible to schedule queries from "Analyse"?

Post2. Jun 2010, 13:38

Is it possible to schedule queries to perform on a daily basis?

For now we need to run Loginventory and then choose/build a query and run it; then export and we can use the data.
It would be helpfull if we can schedule a query and place the data on a location we choose.

Kind regards,

Jaap

Hello,

you can get data from each node in the LOGINventory tree thru the LOGINventory PowerShell Add-on.
Please visit the developer-blog http://www.loginventory.com/developerblog/ or download http://www.loginter.net/files/PowerShellAddon.zip

Stefan,

Thx for this answer.
The powershell add-on is usefull when people know how to use it..
We intend to let clients use the Analyse option and let them make their own queries. There fore the option to schedule queries would be great.

Hello,

it's not possible to schedule an export on queries. That's the reason for developing the powershell provider.
Would it help if we would create the following script:
A powershell script which reads a list of queries, your client want to export, from a text-file, executes each query and exports the result to a file (e.g. csv)

The only thing your client has to do is to fill the text-file with the query-names and add the script to the windows scheduler
